Welcome to CloudNine Ragdolls, a small, ethical, home-based Ragdoll breeder located in Nottinghamshire, England.
We are proudly registered with The International Cat Association (TICA) and listed on the official TICA Breeder Listing. We are also proud signatories of the TICA Voluntary Code of Ethics, reflecting our commitment to responsible breeding, exceptional animal welfare and the highest ethical standards.
With over 15 years of experience owning and caring for cats, from rescuing cats to owning and breeding our own pedigree Ragdolls, we have developed extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with cats and the Ragdoll breed. This is further complemented by many years as a professional cat groomer, giving us a deeper understanding of feline care, behaviour, handling, grooming and overall well-being.
We are also Pet First Aid trained and have experience caring for and hand-rearing neonatal and premature kittens, including providing the specialist care, feeding and attention these particularly vulnerable kittens require.
We are a truly cat-mad family, and our cats are at the heart of our home and daily family life. We live around our cats, not the other way around, and our dedication and love for them shines through in everything we do.
Our cats and kittens are part of our family and enjoy a luxurious, enriching home environment. From cat towers and scratching posts galore to toys, interactive enrichment and cosy spaces throughout the home, our cats want for nothing. We are always looking for new ways to expand their enrichment and provide an environment where they can be happy, confident and healthy.
As a small-scale breeder, we believe quality will always come before quantity. Every litter is thoughtfully planned, every breeding decision is made with care, and every kitten is raised within our family home with individual love, attention and dedication from the moment they are born.
Our cats are never simply breeding cats — they are cherished members of our family first. We believe this makes a huge difference to the kittens we raise, allowing them to grow up surrounded by love, everyday family life and plenty of positive experiences from an early age.
Our aim is simple: to raise healthy, happy and beautifully socialised Ragdoll kittens, while preserving the wonderful qualities that make this breed so special.

Absolutely. The health and well-being of our breeding cats is one of our highest priorities.
All of our breeding cats undergo extensive genetic and health testing, going beyond the minimum recommended testing for the Ragdoll breed. This includes DNA testing for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCMrd), Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKDef), as well as feline blood typing, with all of our breeding cats confirmed as Type A.
Our cats are also routinely tested negative for FIV and FeLV and receive regular veterinary health examinations to monitor their ongoing health and well-being.
We believe responsible breeding means going beyond the basics. Health, genetics, temperament and overall welfare are all carefully considered when planning each pairing, with the aim of giving every kitten the healthiest possible start in life.

Yes. We welcome visits by appointment once our kittens have received their first veterinary health examination and first vaccinations.
This policy helps protect our kittens and their mothers during those important early weeks. Until their first health check and vaccinations have been completed, we keep visitors to a minimum to reduce the risk of illness or infection entering our home and safeguard the health of our queens and their babies.
In the meantime, we’re always happy to arrange video calls, giving you the opportunity to meet your chosen kitten, see them growing up in their home environment and watch their personality develop before your visit.

Our carefully planned litters often receive interest through our waiting list before any kittens are advertised.
Families hoping to welcome a future kitten can join our paid waiting list, giving them priority when kittens become available and allowing us to get to know you, your family and your preferences in advance.
When the time comes, families on our waiting list will be contacted in waiting-list order and offered suitable kittens based on the preferences we’ve discussed, including colour, pattern and gender.
We believe welcoming a kitten should be a personal and thoughtful experience, and we take the time to ensure every kitten is placed with a loving and suitable forever family.

Our kittens remain with us until a minimum of 14 weeks of age, allowing them time to complete their vaccinations, receive the highest standard of veterinary care and be neutered or spayed before leaving for their forever home.
These additional weeks are also incredibly important for their social and behavioural development. Remaining alongside their mother and litter-mates gives them valuable time to learn, develop confidence, and continue experiencing positive interactions within our family home before making the transition to their new family.
We believe giving our kittens this extra time provides them with the best possible foundation for life, ensuring they are healthy, confident, well-socialised and ready to begin their next chapter with their new family.

Every kitten leaves us fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered or spayed, along with their TICA registration and a 5 Generation Certified Pedigree Certificate.
They also leave with their complete veterinary records, details of their health and preventative care, five weeks’ complimentary insurance, and a carefully prepared Welcome Pack filled with familiar essentials to help them settle comfortably into their new home.
We take great pride in ensuring every kitten leaves having received the highest standard of care, preparation and attention, giving both our kittens and their new families the best possible start together.
